We are raising money to benefit CUMBERLAND CLEAR, a grassroots nonprofit organization based in Scott County, Tennessee. Its mission is to advocate for the preservation and improvement of land uses that promote increased land values, community, and the rural character of the Cumberland Plateau by promoting decision making by public officials that make the region an attractive place to live and work. The FIRST ACT of CUMBERLAND CLEAR is to oppose the proposed new landfill (Roberta Phase II) and a trash train transfer station across from Winfield Elementary School. Money raised will go to LEGAL EXPENSES and INDEPENDENT TESTING in this fight.
